If My Horse Becomes Lame Should I Contact My Vet Right Away or Wait to See If It Gets Better On Its Own?

Please contact your horse's vet. Getting a proper diagnoses and treating any lameness quickly may prevent further injury. While the problem may start out minor, leaving lameness undiagnosed and untreated can lead to more serious issues down the road.

If your horse is experiencing lameness feel free to contact Mid-Rivers Equine Centre and we will be happy to evaluate the lameness.
