This winter may have been cold, but Isabella Baxter was red hot!
In March, Isabella showed weeks IV and V in the Gulf Coast Mid-Winter Classic. It was a fantastic 2 weeks of showing in Gulfport. In total, Isabella rode 4 different mounts. She rode her own 2 mounts: jumper Jahil, and equitation horse Chief (owned by the Dorias).
As a testament to her horsemanship, Izzy was also asked to ride two that were not her own, Brego (owned by Hailey Livingston), and Beyond Time (owned by Samantha Hall). It was a successful 2 weeks for all.
Winning Big
Isabella took 2nd and 1st with Brego in the Jr. Hunter Classic respectively and was able to capture Reserve Champion on Beyond Time both weeks.
Iz rode Jahil on the Harrison County Grand Prix Field for the first time and was second overall in the 1.30 Medium Jr./Am. Jumper Classic.
Chief was also a BIG winner. The pair placed 4th in the National Derby Week I, and 1st in the National Derby Week II. In a downpour no less! Chief and Iz also picked up blues in the Pessoa and the WIHS.
An Up & Coming Horsewoman
This success was only the tip of the iceberg for Izzy, as she has been competing in the Queenie Productions Winter Festival which began in December. This series runs December through March and includes eight weeks of showing.
The series has just come to an end and Isabella earned High Point Jr Amateur Jumper Circuit Champion with Jahil and High Point Jr Equitation Circuit Champion with Chief. The cherry on top was her 3x Award of Best Performance by a Junior on a horse during the series.
All we can say is, WOW! At just 15, Isbella Baxter is making quite the name for herself in the Hunter Jumper world. Congratulations, Izzy. We are all very proud of you and are excited to continue watching you become an amazing horsewoman!
