The risk of COVID-19 is growing, and while the doctors of Mid-Rivers Equine continue to see patients both on farm calls and in our hospital, we must do our part to minimize the risk for clients and staff alike. WE ARE OPEN for business, but for everyone’s safety, we have limited the staff that remains on-site to those essential in caring for your horse.
As you are aware, the best protection against COVID-19 is for everyone to practice good personal hygiene and to limit our opportunities for transmission.
To that end, we have implemented the following protocols.
We ask that if you are sick with an illness of any kind that you do not come into contact with our veterinary staff. If you are ill or have been exposed to someone that is ill, FIND AN ALTERNATE HANDLER OR CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT.
OFFICE VISITS: On a limited base, we will continue to see patients at the clinic. PLEASE REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE WHEN YOU ARRIVE and call the office staff at 636.332.5373 to check-in.  When the doctor is ready for your appointment, a staff member will direct you further. One person, preferably the horse owner, may come into the clinic during the office visit but must be accompanied by an employee to enter. Please also respect social distancing and keep six feet apart.
FARM CALLS: We will continue to make farm calls.
We are limiting the people present at the appointment to the owner or horse handler.  Other people should not be in the examination area. Please also respect social distancing and keep six feet apart.
COGGINS TESTS: We will use email when delivering Coggins paperwork to the owner on record. If you need a hard copy, call or email the office to have that arranged.
PICKING UP MEDICATIONS: Should you need a prescription, please call ahead so we can give you an estimate of when it will be ready and to reduce your wait time in the parking lot. When you arrive, remain in your vehicle and call 636.332.5373, a staff member will deliver it to you at your vehicle. YOU MUST CALL AHEAD TO PICK UP A PRESCRIPTION.
ACCOUNT PAYMENTS: At this time we are not accepting in-person payments. Please make payments on your account by asking us to use the credit card on file, calling with credit card information, sending a check in the mail, or via PayPal at paypal.me/MidRiversEquine.
If you have any questions, please contact our office (636) 332-5373. We look forward to continuing to work with your equine partners while doing our share to lessen the burden on our healthcare system.
